CORAL
![]()
Coral is an 80 lb. Monster of a gentle guy. Quite the loon, and always up for a little play!
FLO
![]()
Flo is a bit smaller than Coral, and a Sweet Girl indeed.
MINNIE
![]()
top to bottom: Pryderi, Flo and Minnie sharing a bed.
CEINWYN
![]()
Ceinwyn (pronounced "Kein-wen") is a Saluki. She's very "blonde," very affectionate, and marches to her own drummer. She likes cats a lot. That's Rumble sharing the warm.
AMY
![]()
Amy is an Italian Greyhound. She's beyond elegant, and draws a small crowd of admirers whenever we have her out.
ZOË
![]()
Zoë is our only non-sighthound. She's a Rottweiler, and is typical Rottie thru and thru. A sweet dog, but VERY protective. This will also give you an idea of how dainty Amy really is.
Most of our canine roommates have been sight hounds. They are intelligent, opinionated and wonderful breeds. We describe them as "cats in a very clever disguise." Live with one for a while, and you'll understand.

CEILEIDH
![]()
This is Ceileidh (pronounced "Kay-lee") our rescue greyhound. She was the most fun dog I have ever been friends with. If you were not fun, she'd MAKE you into fun. Or make fun of you. She's sleeping in her travel crate in this picture, doing her Run-Over-Dog imitation. Her tongue is hanging out the side of her mouth, and when she woke up she tended to forget to put it back in. Looked quite strange.
![]()
If you want the best dog in the world, adopt a greyhound. You'll never be sorry. We lost her at age 13 and I miss her.
FALACH
![]()
This is Falach, a whippet, (AKA The 900-Mile-An-Hour-Wonder-Dog) in her favorite spot .... under the covers of our bed. She died at age 17, and was a wonderful companion and friend. We miss her terribly.
LARK
![]()
Lark was a Borzoi. She was a rescue dog, having been terribly abused. When we got her, she was barely able to stand. Eventually she filled out and was able to enjoy the few years she had with us. We called her the Pointy-Nosed-Flat-Dog.
SEANNA
![]()
Seanna (pronounced "Shawna") was my first Irish Wolfhound. She was completely loopy and delighted in being funny. A wonderful dog indeed. She was grey-brindle in color, and learned she could lie down in the middle of the back yard at night and completely disappear. Scared hell out of a lot of neighborhood cats that way.
We'd brush out her coat so she looked nice, and within 24 hours she looked like she does in the picture. We finally gave up. She liked to look scruffy.
CEILDEIGH
![]()
Ceildeigh (pronounced "Kell-dee") was my second Irish Wolfhound. Not as much insanity as Seanna, but fun anyhow. A gentle, sweet girl. Here she is with Falach, both looking forlorn, but Falach is plotting something.
