Osker Wiederholz started producing composition figures in Germany in 1903 and in 1906 established the trade name of "Lineol." Lineol was Elastolin's main competitor, making quite an interesting line of figures, and branching out into areas and types that Elastolin did not cover.
The figures were made of composition moulded over a wire framework, just as Elastolin, but the medievals were a bit more dynamic in their poses and quite spectacular indeed.
