Flat tin Renaissance knight

This site works best with Internet Explorer

I have been collecting toy soldiers since I can remember. As a kid I went thru innumerable sets of the plastic Army Men, WW II Germans, spacemen, Roskopf and Roco plastic mini-tanks, Airfix and the usual, but my primary love was always the Medieval and Renaissance periods of history ..... and eventually I settled for specializing in those two periods alone, with occasional side-trips into other things.

Many of my figures are what is usually termed the "collector" type that I have assembled, modified and painted myself. Take a look at what I've done in the Collector Figures page.

I am particularly interested in Elastolin and Lineol composition medievals, and the lovely Merten line.

Flats (tin soldiers, zinnfiguren) are also of interest to me.

Then there's my medieval war game ....... and the Martians!

I've also added a section on the Courtenay, Ping, Selwyn and so forth "toy" collector knights, tho these are not toys by any means!

I wish I could show you the whole collection, but there's just not enough room at this site, so you'll just see representative figures from each category. Hope you enjoy it!
